These days some Islamic scholars have started to give Islamic lessons with the help of illustrations & animated cartoon pictures.
so what do you think, is it a good approach & permissible.
Re: Giving Islamic lessons with illustrations
Illustrations good, cartoons not so good.
Re: Giving Islamic lessons with illustrations
Illustrations are good. Some people find it easier to learn that way. I think it depends what kind of cartoons you’re speaking about, the kind that NAK uses in his surah tafseers are good imo. Especially for young children and teenagers, they give an easier and more entertaining understanding.
I think it’s a wonderful idea to use illustrations. Children tend to learn visually especially when they cannot read so if you read them a story with some illustration, there can look at them and ask questions or answer question. Also it makes Islam approachable and friendlier. I say this because I grew up with a mother who instilled fear of Allah more than love for Allah. she read us qabr ka haal when we were ten. I think children should grow up knowing how much they are loved than literally fear the unseen and the unknown. Therefore, I think any way to make Islamic history, hadeeths more approachable so the children enjoy it and look forward to it is good in my books.

i so agree with you that some elders introduce ALLAH to the kids in a way that instead of loving HIM, they start fearing HIM and for the wrong reasons.
