Those who request their relatives or pay someone for giving bath to their close relatives, (without any genuine reason) are doing a GREAT loss to their account, the value and reward of which is not imaginable by human.
Though people requested my baba to let someone else give bath to his father but Allah blessed him with strength and will in such a difficult situation and he said, " I would learn how to do it, but I would never want to miss this one opportunity (which would never be given to me in infinite years)"
May Allah bless us all with the strength and wisdom to not miss any opportunity of pleasing Allah. (swt)
