check this laptop and the specifications.. and let me know what you think about it?..

im getting this for $500CAD … is it a reasonable price? ( getting it from a friend, and its brand new… he hasnt even turned it on yet )…

Very sweet specs and mouthwatering price. Just grab it man.

Make sure its not stolen. Otherwise, once you connected from your home wireless, HP would know right away that a stolen laptop is online using such and such IP address. No warrenty either.

thank you guys... just wanna know whats the difference between centrino and pentium?.. cuz i got trapped with similar kinda thing before too.. that was celeron..... im never gonna buy any pc which has celeron motherboard in it...

so what actually is centrino?.. i hope its not like athlon or celeron...cuz i hate those 2...

yo , i donno where this dude get these brand new laptops from... as soon as it comes in future shop...he has it in his house... he never tells me where he gets it from... and he sells it like garbage...

last time he had that apple pc that futureshop just introduced back then... and he was selling it for 700 or something...

Forget about Pentium, for notebook Centrino is miles a head of Pentium M.

I think its good with specs in 500 CAD$. but make sure about the warrenty because as u said it is brand new and also check the status of this Laptop from any nearby shop.

I just bought same exact thing, just different brand for about US $700.

Avoid HP, as good as the spec of the laptop is. My previous Laptop was a HP and the build quality of 'em is rubbish and i won't be surprised if within a year yours this is beginning to fall apart.

PS. the hinges on HP laptops are weak and break easily.

If the guy is not telling u where he gets it from & is unable to give u company warranty then I am sure its stolen & if its stolen or u suspect its stolen, my suggestion is stay away from it even its for $100 because its not legal to buy.

Bro, here are my two cents.

Centrino is an architecture from Intel. Any laptop having centrino means, it has atleast these things from Intel:

i) Motherboard
ii) CPU
iii) Chipset (north and south bridge)
iv) WLAN Chip

The advantage?

  • It is more energy efficient.
  • better performance
  • better interoperability
