Give bride TWO gifts for each ceremony?? (Mehndi and Wedding)

My friend is Arab and is having a henna party, and the wedding 1-2 days after the henna party. I’m not sure what the difference is between an Arab and a Pakistani mehndi, but all I know is she’s having one and it’s all girls. The question on my mind is, am I expected to get her a seperate gift, (one for each day - mehndi and shaadi) or only 1 (for the shaadi)? She has a registry, but I think that registry is for the wedding. What would you do in this situation? It’s just that I don’t know how Arabs have mehndis, and I don’t know if we’re expected to bring gifts on the mehndi too. I will definitely buy a gift from the registry.

Hmm. I haven't been to an Arab mehndi, so I'm not sure what the rules are. But if you don't find a conclusive answer, then to be on the safe side....you can get her a small and simple gift such as something from bath and body works.

I have been to Arab mehndis. It's basically a girls party with dancing and lots of dressing up that they most likely won't be able to do at the wedding (meaning wearing revealing clothing). You don't need to take a gift. Just take one for the wedding. If you like you can take a dessert (if the mehndi is at home), but if its at a hall you can take the bride flowers (that is if you want to take something but you don't have to).

I went to an Arab wedding - their mehndi's are similar to ours, but agree with above poster about revealing clothes lol. Nobody brought a gift on the mehndi - everyone did on the shaadi.

Just go...no gifts are expected at mehndi or henna parties for Arabs either.

If you feel a bit awkward going empty handed...my fall back plan is flowers.
