Re: Girly room

Your room is so girly and beautiful Lovely!!! I always grew up wishing I had a room like yours.

Saadia - I always wanted a canopy or curtain bed when I was a little girl!!! It is so feminine and “princesslike”. I never got it :frowning: But I think they are fab… its something that will last a really long time as I can’t really see a girly girl getting sick of it.

I like this one: http://www.niken.net/wp-content/uploads/2009/07/01_15-cool-ideas-for-pink-girls-bedrooms-3-554x468.jpg - As the girl gets older, you could change the curtains to something more mature

I like this room alot: http://www.interiorwarrior.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/01/Children’s-Bedroom-Ideas-from-Dearkids-587x333.jpg - It incorporates your desire for pink and purple color theme but the design keeps the room nice and airy!

As others suggested - I think the use of Wall decals is great. Its not permanent and can easily be changed as the girls grow older and their interests change. Wall decals and pictures are a great way to add personal touches to a room but can easily be updated.

my sister did my 2 neices room when they moved into their new home. One is 9 and one is 1 years old.

Re: Girly room

i think if i have a daughter ever, i’d like to do her room in parisian style- black, white and pale pink.
French Baby Nursery, French Nursery Decor, French Crib Bedding

then again, i love yellow so much, maybe i’d do black/white and yellow.

Re: Girly room

Cute rooms guys, I'm preggers with a girl we are absolutely elated alhamdulillah lekin I HATE PINK!!!! I would probably go for yellow, white, red , pastel green or something funky. I was never a 'girly' girl and my room growing up was blue.

Re: Girly room

Thanks All! Moving is fix till the Mid of July, after that we start the process of buying furniture and decorating. Pics will be posted then IA!

Re: Girly room

my daughter loves pink, purple and red .so I let her chose everything by herself .

saadia a good idea is ask what M likes/wants and then go for it , afterall it's going to be her room so it should be something she likes :)

Re: Girly room

she likes pink and purple but we will be buying the furniture and stuff. Here she has no say …

purple/pink unicorns

Re: Girly room

Yeah Gina, that's nice.

All this pink and purple talk is getting on my husband too, he was looking at a purple fluffy carpet for their room lately.
