How many of you don’t want to marry within your family? especially those born bred abroad??

I don't want to marry within my family,not because i've been born and brought up abroad,but just because,the guys in my family,who are under my age group or so,they all are less educated than me,and i don't want to marry a guy who is less educated than me.

I didnt want to marry within the family because I just never looked at them that way.

My parents support it and are okay with it too.

Always thought of my cousins like my sisters. So a big NO to that.

I wouldn't mind if i din't know him i.e a cousin in Pakistan my cousins here they like brothers i don't/can't see them in that way

Thats a rather exhaustive and conclusive statement. It varies from family to family, unless Pakistanis are into incest..BIG time.

I married outisde of my clan and my family supported me. I just never wanted to marry any of my cousins. :)

I find my family tree quite interesting ... there was my great grandfather who had like 7 kids ... he actually got majority of his grand kids married to each other ...

so when i went to Pakistan and got my first intro with my family and relatives , someone told me , tumhaaray meire saath 6 rishtay bantay hein !!! I almost fainted !

that time i had mashallah good proposals coming from the cousins ... but i couldnt accept any .. coz as it is there is enough politics in the family let alone create more .. abhi 6 rishtay bantay hein baad mein 12 ban jaain gai ... hence my refusal..

my nanajee was heart broken ....
