whether its difficult to manage home and work: depends on the industry you are working, your nature of work and the nature of responsibilities and work you need to do at home. some people might find it impossible so they quit, some might find it difficult but they are ready to take the extra stress and manage it and some find it easy and not bothering at all.
once you are married and once you have babies then you should decide for yourself according to your circumstances.
for knowing personally people who continue to work after marriage and kids, yes i know many and they seem to manage it.
and in your case since you are a pharmacist, you have the option for working on flexible hours instead full time work and i hope this can be managed easily.
