girls who enjoy watching sport

i like my football (soccer) and cricket and tennis. so why is it when your discussing a major sporting event or fav team with a member of the opposite sex they stare at you as though you are a monster.
oh and why do people think girls know nothing about sport, espically football. maybe its just me who sees this, but its really annoying. grrr..

Re: girls who enjoy watching sport

lol

yeah i know , i like football and cricket to an extent too....however im glad my family and husband have finally got round to acknowledging me in their conversations.....

anything out of norm is bound to stirRRrrrrrrr people. just like a guy starts talking about cooking or makeup items with the opposite sex.

Due to my dry skin I use clinique's moisturizer (yeah my wife hooked me onto it). So now whenever I am at mall buying it sales girls look at me like i am from Mars. Specially when I talk about different sizes and how I want a bottle without pump and on top of it when I asked for the "Fee Gift" they think I dont know about :D

watching sports on tv? nahhh.. borrrinnggggg…

Watching sports live in a stadium… :k: could give it a go… outing ki outing, tuwadi sports v miss nai hoye gi.

:hehe:… Men should definitely care about their skin too :k:

Re: girls who enjoy watching sport

I looove American football! I call it human chess because of the strategizing and anticipating your opponents next move. I also love how physically aggressive the sport is as it allows me vicariously get my own aggression out (I like hockey for the same reason).

I'm lucky in that football buddies don't question my interest in the sport - they don't have a problem with a girl enjoying the game.

Re: girls who enjoy watching sport

I remember having to explain the offside rule to one of my brothers friends.

I was then banned from watching football with the 'lads' gits.

I don't really have time for the Premiership anymore as its not really English is it, but I do watch most major titles, like the Euro and the World Cup.

The thing with men in my family is that they have no passion when watching a game, they sit and watch the 'skills' and I sit and scream my head off blaming the dumb ref for everything. I usually get told to leave the room.

I loved channel 4 for Football Italia on the weekends. They got rid of it. Sad face.

I get told to leave too, they tell me I should be making/serving the chicken wings instead of eating them and watching the game

Men think sports is their territory, its their "thing"

and whenever I beat them at our tennis games, they keep doing sets until they win a game, cause whenever a girl wins, its because she got lucky

Re: girls who enjoy watching sport

But they dont have any passion for it! They sit and go ' lovely goal' and im like NO MANS, he elbowed him, dirty *******!'

Re: girls who enjoy watching sport

I dont know if I care...sports? Whats that?

Re: girls who enjoy watching sport

Thank God my dad was not like that, he used to encourage me to even watch wrestling with him which I used to and we would be yelling and passing comments like anything :cb: I used to love watching tennis, cricket and all Olympic games before I got married… ab woh josh khatam ho gaya hai… I prefer playing with my daughter or taking a nap over watching some dumb game on TV :hehe:

I know, but you have to keep your emotions bottled up inside otherwise they'll kick you out

and they are passionless because they're all bandwagoners, if theres a team they hate they'll stop watching the series after that team has lost, cause thats all they care about

I stopped watching for a while because when a team you love loses, it hurts. It's too painful to watch, I go into depression for a week

aur aab uss k khamyaza aap k husband ko bhugtna parh raha hai.

Speaking of sports, my mom is CRAZY about cricket. I have seen her like this since my childhood.

Oh gosh, dont be such a baby!

My brother watches all games, in every sport even if he doesnt support the team.

The last time I cried was when Becks got a red card due to the skanky Argentinian (sp).

I've realised now that Becks is a skank and deserves red cards.

I love sports!

Cricket, snooker, tennis, football, boxing, badminton, wrestling (yeh, I know it's technically not a sport but I really enjoy watching it anyway) I love them all.

Oh yeah, I get weird looks all the time and someone has to say the inevitable "You don't look like you'd know anything about sports" Jee thanks.

Beckham is a hero, he never ever deserves any cards.

When my team loses I feel let down, unworthy and emotionally drained

Beck's balls aint so golden anymore pet. He's defo a loser.

I reckon Messi and Kaka are the ones to watch for the World Cup.

My fav moment of any game is when the final whistle blows and they all swap shirts. Now that's what you call lovely.

Re: girls who enjoy watching sport

I hate watching sports. But I love bugging my fiance by telling him Cricket matches are fixed!!!! Especially after the whole New Zealand, England, South Africa situation!!!! MUHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH

Re: girls who enjoy watching sport

I hyperventilate when it's nearing the end of the game and the game's too close to call. The air turns blue with some colourful language on my part. I start breathing again when my team's won. If they lose - well they're persona non grata until the next season.
