Girls, what kind of wedding do you want?

wow Q, that's some cross-national wedding :) where are you living now? when's your walima in canada?

mehnaz, do you think it's just Pakistanis who do this sort of thing? It's a really strange culture.

Aishaa1, send them over to me then!

No Umerrrrr....I'm not getting married for another 10 years (man-hating lesbian remember?) But there's no harm in thinking towards the future!

Small with just the imam and family members.

1) Ohh Munni , thats an ideal situation. I 'd love to do that if possible. If u get your soulmate than thats possible but chances are less in a desi setting. No gifts and only cold drinks.. very neat idea :-D

2) Personally one mehndi where everyone can have fun. If possible one large gathering after that... shadi cum valima. And even if its separate than I would not like to be all dolled up and sit on the stage but would rather love to move around and greet guests.

If its all arranged than chances of my wish being taken into regard are grim. Being the first child and on top much eagerly awaited shadi( whenever it might happen), no one would like to miss out the fun or compromise on anything :-)

All the proceeds in my view must be given to the newly wed couple so that they can do whatever they want to with that money. :D
