Girls riding motorcycle in pakistan...why not?

Re: Girls riding motorcycle in pakistan…why not?

I don’t know, i’m assuming that’s the “problem” and why women sit on the bikes like they used to sit on horses oh about a hundred or so years ago.

There was a discussion about it as well in the religion forum, that its not Islamic for women to sit like that…

Re: Girls riding motorcycle in pakistan...why not?

Didn't Maryam (ra) sit on a donkey when she gave birth to jesus (pbuh)? they went to a far away place and found that tree?

Re: Girls riding motorcycle in pakistan...why not?

but donkeys have four legs. not a two wheeler, pal.

Re: Girls riding motorcycle in pakistan...why not?

The one I am talking about Sara, is women friendly. It doesnt compromise anyone's modesty. Women can sit how they are supposed to sit. Furthermore, if someone is wearing a long chadar/dupatta, she can still drive it safely, as the wheels are small and covered, it wont get tangled up in the wheels.

However, the streets of Pakistan are not a safe jungle for women to roam around on bike. Even if she is driving a car, she must never leave the house alone (for long distance drive) unless absolutely necessary.

Re: Girls riding motorcycle in pakistan...why not?

Pakistani men are too illiterate to accept women sitting cross legged on a bike

They will start to gawk, harass girls and will create too many complications

Women can ride bikes I guess in rich areas like Defence and others but forget it if you talk about the inner cities....

Re: Girls riding motorcycle in pakistan…why not?

That’s weird considering they used to ride camels in the days of Prophet Mohammed (PBUH) and during the early days of Islam Khawlah Bint Al-Azwar led an army into battle on horseback..

Honestly, I sometimes feel like we’re going backwards..

Re: Girls riding motorcycle in pakistan...why not?

Yeah, I used to see them everywhere in Vietnam as well.. I think it's a really good idea..

Re: Girls riding motorcycle in pakistan...why not?

the position in which they have to sit on bike is not respectable scooty is litter better but there should be seprate Buses for women

Re: Girls riding motorcycle in pakistan...why not?

where di Khawlah Binte ALAzhar led the army
