If a girl answers that she is confused about wheather she likes you or not, what does that mean? Is she trying to be nice and saying no thanks or she is really confused.

Dude If the girl is not totally attracted towards you, don't even bother bringing up such a discussion.
Give her space, intact give her time to think too.
I mean so much time and space so she disappear in it, and you live happily aver after with a "different " girl who is worth being with.

How can you be confused if you like someone or not. Either you like or don't like. Actually, she is confused about whether she wants to continue her relationship with you or not. So like everyone said above, handle with caution!

wow - lot of negativity / stereo typing in this thread.
If the girl is 18 or less then most advices given in this thread are relavent.
If she is older than that, we do not know much about the situation / personalities / your relationship / Relationship history / etc to determine fully if she is confused or not.
There are many threads in LIFE section saying how its is pretty darn hard to know if certain person is THE ONE for you. She maybe stuck in the same situation, trying to figure out if you are THE ONE for her (which implies, she is taking this seriously and intend to stick to the decision through out life).
I know couples where girl said she can NEVER see her with her current fiance - and now she is heads over heels (in love) with him.
Best advice I can give you is - take scientific approach:
- Devise small little (harmeless) tests to see how comfortable is she with you?
- Seems like you have talked about you two being together, so ask her - is there something you can do / answer to help make the decision?
- If she is a decent girl, give her time to make her decision.

P.S: Assuming you are looking to (eventually) marry her. If you are just looking to date her - then message me in private. You will have to put up a whole differnet game :p

She could be really confused! You are the best judge. Most girls/boys might use this as an excuse to get out of a relationship or to use this way to put you on standby BUT she might be not one of them and actually means that she is confused.
To every1 who is saying how is it possible for her not to know if she likes you or not...I think what she perhaps means is if she likes you enough to have a relationship with you. I agree with Muslim Met Fan, maybe she is just the cautious type and wants to think hard before making any decision because she knows she will have no live with it.
Again, i must say you are the best judge here. I am sure you have spent time with her or gotten to know more about her and that should help you figure out what exactly she means when she says that she is confused about you.

Dude if u r confused ... its better to leave it. But if u think she really deserves a chance, and u will never ever will be able to find some one like that ... than ... give her some space.

I think I may have set a negative precedent here even though I did it with kind of a smile....
Without knowing more details, the gal COULD be confused and unsure of herself.
But even so, I still think that this type of attitude should make you consider whether she may really be waiting to see if "something better" comes her way. That seems to be more often the case although truly being unsure could also be the reason. If you step outside the situation and look at it without emotion UA - think about it for a bit with your head instead of your heart - THEN you will be able to figger it out for yourself.

Ok, my two more cents.
If your question to her was about liking you ,not about if she loves you to the extent that she would marry you , then in normal life sometimes even if we do not like someone and are put on the spot we would reply with a yes just to let the other person save his/her face. And if we do not like a person then we would be as polite as she is.
If your question to her was about whether she loves you , may be you asked the question too early .She might have not gotten enough time to know more about you and she needs time to give you a yes or know answer after she evacuates you more .
If she knows you for a long time and knows everything about your personality then she is being polite and giving you a hint to look somewhere else.

like maybe she still doesn’t know how she feels about you? maybe she might like you as a friend but doesn’t wanna take it further than that? no?
did you liek all of a sudden just spring it on her ‘hey i like you a lot’ because maybe she wants to take it slow and wants to get to know you.
