Can someone please help I saw a name on the net stating it was a Islamic name it is Liyana can someone tell me where it from in the Quran or whose daughter she was and what the meaning is in Arabic thank u

*how do u speall the word in Arabic or Urdu? there is a word "la'een" (laam, ai'n, ye, noon) [the condemned person].

It's written in English as liyana and the meaning is softness and tenderness but I want to know if it is really in the Quran so my husband will allow my daughter to be named it please help

Well thank u but my husband is from overseas and I found it in English but u cannot find it on in Arabic for him to be conviced do you know where I could find it

i wud suggest u check with ur local imam/Hafiz of the masjid by sending him an email. he has memorized the Qur'aan and he can easily tell u where exactly the word is used, if it is used...

...i could have looked up in my urdu dictionary if i knew exactly how the word is spelled. i tried many possibilities on online urdu/arabic dictionaries...i found in english [liyanah] which means soft / tender as u urself mentioned.

as much as i like to help, i'm sorry i don't have much info to go by. sorry once again. :(**

The name "Liyana" doesn't appeared in Quran.
