i know this doesn’t go for all girls in pakistan, but i was just wondering why most girls in pakistan don’t go to the musjid for namaaz. yea, i know they can read it at home too and i know they’re allowed to go, but usually for jummah namaaz and stuff, i only see the guys from the family going. i never understood that
.
Re: girls in pakistan
^ Not all masjids have separate space for women to pray.
Re: girls in pakistan
why not?! we have the same right to pray to the same God. ![]()
Re: girls in pakistan

Re: girls in pakistan
- Resources, masajid are not big enough to accomodate all men…
- I believe it was Hazrat Umar RA who discouraged women going to masajid citing society as a problem.
Re: girls in pakistan
then why are there facilities in major mosques such as in makkah and madinah???
Re: girls in pakistan
so is it just the pakistani society that he was referring to? because i know that here, i try going to the musjid atleast once a week.
and it’s funny because there’s SO many musjids in pakistan (after all, it is a muslim country), yet there isn’t enough room for everyone to pray?
so, ur saying the reason that women dont go to the musjid to read namaz is because there’s not enough space?? ![]()
Re: girls in pakistan
i don’t wanna generalise but… i know what u mean man! i think that even though in the west muslims are a minority, we’re pretty strong whereas in pakistan, you take in for granted that u have these kinda facilities…
Re: girls in pakistan
i second that.
there’s a mosque in EVERY gali in karachi (and probably everywhere else too)… i got laughed at by my cousins when i said that the masjid is 20 mins away in a bus…
Re: girls in pakistan
Interesting that our caliphs pulled in such strange rules when the Prophet didn't. Men and Women sat side by side when listening to the prophet's khutbas.
Very strange.

Re: girls in pakistan
Whether they go or not is their choice. However, the importance was on men to try to attend all prayers in the masjid. One would think that the women got off easy - they can just pray at home.
Re: girls in pakistan
yeah i agree with that… but at the same time, there should be facilities in masjids so women know that there’s something out there for them outside the kitchen, house bla bla… and the assurance that they’re not confined to only that… furthermore - with facilities like such, it encourages to go to the masjid to not only pray but also to increase their knowledge… so they can implement it at home, with husband, kids, extended etc etc… c’mon givem em some kinda independance now…
Re: girls in pakistan
yea i get that… but what about the women that DO want to go…and dont..because “there’s no space” in the mosque…![]()
Re: girls in pakistan
Of course if its possible they should have proper places for women too in the masjid. I never said otherwise. And women can go out to lots of other plcaes aside from their homes...er but of course.
