So I was reading some of my love letters I had received form a Punjban girl when I was in Pakistan. And the English they speak is so funny I had a pretty hard time reading her letters. She always insisted on speaking in English on the phone to me as her family couldn’t understand English.

I also noticed on the paper's the "margin" is on the goddamn wrong side. Its supposed to be on the right side. Don't the Punjab government of Pakistan know anything?

that's not funny, it's pretty mean of you to make fun of them, for using the wrong margin , "funny" english etc.
I have cousins who "studY" english but they write exactly like that. Nobody in the family converses n English, they dont watch any english programs etc, to them English is the same as spanish would be to some high school kid in Kansas.

This, is one of the better letters. The ones with poetry really cracked me up. I think it would be too mean to post them. Her English was not that bad when we used to meet up and talk although I used to tell her to speak Urdu as that was so sexy!

Beta jee , i think we write urdu from left to right and in pakistan there are alot of school which offer urdu medium and for that purpose there are notes books not only for urdu subject but all others......
anyway u shuld atleast appreciate the effort that someone attempted to write u a letter in english ,40 % of paki population can't even read the damn news paper. So b thankful that someone actually care about u.

You have broken a sacred trust and proved that you are a scum bag. What does this have to do with a panjabi or a non-panjabi girl? I have funnier letters/e-mails written by urdu speaking girls But thats between me and them. Trust and decency demands that I respect their privacy!!

First of all #&^%(& sahab u forgot to whiteout ur name in line#9.
Secondly we know u r lying because girls in pakistan don;t date and they have a lot of sharm and hayaa in them so stop it.
Thirdly this is not a love letter, its someone advocating her friends love for you. With ur great english and all u would surely know the difference between a love-letter and a letter from an intermediary. Guess not!
p.s. the girls decision to write english on a paper from an urdu notebook is a crime more easily forgiveable than her friend's choice in men.

How is that breaking her trust? firstly that a letter from her friend and not from her. And secondly, its practically anonymous it could be any girl from Pakistan who could have sent me that. Its not like it has her name and address, and pictures of her.
I posted it to aid the topic. Although I know it has nothing to do with her being a Punjabi or anything I am a Punjabi myself. However, I was making a point the standards of teaching English in the Punjab are not very good. Sometimes the sentences do not even make sense.

Yeah I fixed that. Its not about the love letter, its about the way they speak English. So its beyond the point which girl sent it to me. They all write similarly.
And are you trying to say I am lying? I guess you’re too ugly for any girls to send you any letters. Not everyone in Pakistan is a religious extremist.

And I think you can only make fun of some one claming to know some language and then not knowing it.
Like if i say I know french and When its time to speak or write I make mistakes. thats funny.
But making fun of me not knowing french/germen is stupid.
Plus her hand writing is very good.
