I'm not saying every girl. There are always exceptions. But all girls I've come across so far are all aunty like and PCG is right they are all made up at parties at a young age. It's not just my relatives, its girls I've seen at parties, weddings, my husbands family and even random neighbours. I also see really young girls covering up with chadars and acting like full grown women around men. They can sit with all the aunties and mingle with ease as if they were an aunty themselves.

Shouldn't there be a more bigger sample size when you generalize though, beyond your friends, family and neighbours? I've only lived in Pakistan and from my limited experience and knowledge would like to completely disagree with the OP. The ones that you are basing your generalization on, according to my observation, is an exception.

So acting like an adult = mature? Well if this is you definition of “mature”, I can say that MANY girls (especially Mexican and black) who live in very low-income neighborhoods in the U.S. also “mature” early. They act/talk/dress like the adult women around them…many of them drop out of school to work in order to support themselves and their family…and in fact, many of these girls are sexually active (which is an adult activity) and even have babies which gives them the title “mom” even if they’re 13. Many of these girls cook, clean, take care of their younger siblings b/c their parents are working/drug-addicts etc.
