Maybe that should explain their attire. Not everyone that wears an abaya is a satti savatri.
Re: girls dressing in all girls party
Yeaaa…and then they start complaining that boys are staring at them ![]()
Since when Pakistanis living abroad became so conscious about dresses? (when they lose all other Paki values)
I used to think of it as a Pakistani problem.
Re: girls dressing in all girls party
^ Is that a question for me or just in general?
Now what is a “Paki value” and why is it abroad Pakistanis should not care about having values? ![]()
Re: girls dressing in all girls party
My friend's bhabhi is Lebanese Muslim. This woman is very religious - wearing a scarf and abaya when she goes out - won't shake male colleagues hand, etc., etc.
But, when she's in an all women's setting, she'll wear short dresses, sleeveless tops. Yahan tak, the ladies (because they're Middle Eastern) have belly-dancing parties. They don't consider it wrong when they're among other women.

That's the point I was trying to make earlier. Some women will do it for the "humor"....doesn't mean that they dress this way on a regular basis. Depends upon the individual.
Re: girls dressing in all girls party
Some of the Arab functions i’ve been to…where it’s ladies only…
Hubba hubba ![]()
I don’t know the answer to your question ![]()
I don’t mean shedding Pakistani values and adopting values of new homeland is bad.
But why make so much fuss about dresses only when anything else doesn’t matter?
Re: girls dressing in all girls party
This thread is useless without pics. :D
Re: girls dressing in all girls party
^Lollolll init ;)
j/k slutty as in bikini tops that are 3 sizes too small or shorts and a tee? We all know what we can show to people of our own gender islamically, usually these women would follow that. At an all girls party usually i just take my hijab off, my clothes are always normal.
Re: girls dressing in all girls party
It's okay, but I don't do it. I might wear slightly more revealing clothes, but nothing that would ever look "slutty."
We need to hangout.
Re: girls dressing in all girls party
I think sharm o hayaa, modesty, is an attitude felt from within. How can you feel differently at different places. Maybe at a ladies only gathering I would be more casual, but I would still wear the kind of clothes I always where regardless of whether it's a "mixed" gathering or ladies only.
is it okay for girls/ladies/women to dress up slutttish or provocative in all girls party?
*No its not "okay" to be showing any area from your chest to your knees. *
Zobs I would have never have thought the word 'sluttish' could come out of your mouth.
Define 'sluttish' please Zobs. One mans slut is anothers wife.
it means dressing up like Pakisani filmi heroines.
so i am not calling anyone a sl*t but the way girls dress up in all-girls gathering do amazes me that is sharam-o-hayaa only means to be in conscious when men are around, otherwise you can go as much wild as you can.

i know its just for fun...girls also dont seem to have any wrong intentions...but is it justifiable?
