In Desi families it seems like all daughter-in-laws are like servants to their mother-in-law/father-in-law. So they have to live with their spouse and take care of their mother-in-law and father-in-law 24x7, cook, and clean around the house and deal with the daily dramas in the family.

So is that what marriage is about in the Desi culture and are girls happy with this?

Actually, its the other way around these days …
