You read past the first line in my post? I think what htey did was cruel and horrible.. doesn't matter if the person is Muslim, Jewish Christian Hindu etc.. it's what happens afterwards that matters most.

I agree. I don't understand logic of those people. May be it has something to do with thinking (or not sure if there is hadith on it) ... 40 people around "haafiz/aalim" will be relieved of their punishment and so on?

Yaar, when people do something so insensitive and inhumane, you dont have to start your sentance by reconfirming your stance on their religion… Your views on the religion are not relevent, this is about humanity… One group of humans inflicting injustice on another group.
Its sorta like visiting someone who just died only to talk about all the stuff you hated about them while they were alive.

How ridiculous to dig up a dead body just to move it, because the person is Ahmedi. So typically idiotic, and I'm not surprised it happened in Pakistan.

*Apnay mulk mein sher hein, aur koi baat nahi. *I don't think there is a concept of "muslim" graveyard and "Non-muslim" graveyard in Islam. Here in California, where I live, muslims of the community have purchased small portions of land within various cemetaries, and then resell these pieces of land to the families when someone dies. So in most areas, graves of muslims are within a cemetary full of non-muslims. Imagine if christians here start exhuming muslim bodies and forcing them to be buried elsewhere or asking muslims to fly the bodies back to "muslim" lands to be buried in "muslim" graveyards.

LAHORE: Local authorities dug up the grave of an Ahmadi girl in a Muslim graveyard in Chanda Singh village, Kasur, 10 days after her death and moved her body to an Ahmadi cemetery under pressure from clerics.
Kasur DPO Captain (r) Mobeen Ahmed supervised the reburial on March 18, Daily Times has learnt. District police officials confirmed the report and conceded that it was done under pressure from the Majlis-e-Tahafuz-e-Khatam-e-Nabuwat and local clerics.
Nadia Hanif, 17, died of an illness on March 8. She had been running an SOS village school and used to teach kids the Quran. “No one objected to her being buried here at the time,” her elder brother told Daily Times. Several Muslims attended her funeral, he added, though the local imam refused to offer Namaz-e-Janaza for the girl. After the funeral, extremists started protesting against her burial in a Muslim graveyard. A local cleric also got a fatwa from Saadat Ali Qadri, who runs a seminary, stating that Ahmadis cannot be buried in a Muslim graveyard and digging up the body is permissible.
Whats really sad is that these ppl claim to be followers of the Holy Prophet (saw) but act against his commands. It is narrated that once Holy Prophet (saw) was sitting with his sahaba and a funeral procession of a jew passed. Our Holy Prophet (saw) stood up in respect. When sahaba said that this is a Jew's funeral, our Holy Prophet (saw) who was the mercy for all worlds replied: Is a Jew not a human?

Kari's or victims of honour killings are not buried in Muslim cemetries, this continues to be accepted practice in Sindh. These poor victims are not given any muslim burial rights and are buried in deserted areas with no tombstones or anything.
How does this mentality change? Dont know....but needs to be debated and change implemented.

People who have spent a decent amount of time in Pakistan know who these people are. Mosques and madarrassahs spring up without any organization, need, or approval. Anybody can grow a beard, set up a donation stand at the side of a street, build a small mosque on encroched land, and start calling himself an Aalim. Because of sanctity associated with mosques and people who are running mosques, it's difficult to oppose these fake Mullahs without getting a fatwa from them in retaliation. These are the clerics who issue silly fatwas and incite sectarian hatred among local population.
People of Pakistan will do themselves a favor by denouncing these fake, representative of the worst amongst us, mullahs, whose only claim to being a 'Cleric' is that they memorized some verses of Quran and have an impressive abilit to parrot them without knowing what's being said.
