How can you post about one horrible crime and then go on a rant about economic realities or distribution of wealth? India has some real issues and that is okay to discuss, but I dont see the connection here. Now before some Indian shows up and throws the fact in your face that in the case of Mukhtaran Mai, one of the most well known victims, her attackers mostly got away free...let me remind you.
India has many problems, but as someone said, showing those, does nothing for Pakistan. India has many strengths as well, many that have emerged in just the last couple of decades, why not appreciate and learn from that as well.
as to your point about only the rich benefiting from the economy, it is untrue. while the poorest of that nation have not seen any real improvement in their conditions, and that is a huge part of the population, but a growing affluent middle class indicates that it is not just the rich that are getting something from it.
I was talking about this topic with my mother, having watched part of a BW film, where this women was going to get raped and they all took out their cameras to "film it" as disgusting as this is, we came up with a befitting punishment, anyone who is proved guilty of rape - should be castrated and made example of, and not in a here take some pain killers way.
