Re: Gina and guppies help required
maybe applying ice after waxing will help
and NEVER use deodrants after getting waxed........my parlous wali aunty told me this
Go over the waxed area with a non-alcoholic toner or rosewater.
Re: Gina and guppies help required
i have tried the toner duznt work will try rose water thanks gina but is dere anything i cud do more like maybe a better wax or sumthing as my skin is very sensitive coz using silkapil on my hands duz the same to me
Re: Gina and guppies help required
Do you have to wax? Ive discovered I cant wax too often either. I use wax rarely...for everything else I thread...eyebrows and thats about all.
Get laser done and call it a day...or try another method of hair removal. My guess is your skin is reacting to the wax itself and until you stop waxing...your bumps will stay.
Re: Gina and guppies help required
i don't know the exact cause but a rash and read bumps on the stomach and upper arms after waxing is very common. please don't ever think about laser on these areas - the hair is too fine to be treated!
for your arms, i would try and see about using hard wax that is used without strips. it doesn't adhere to the skin so will be better for you.
after waxing apply tea tree oil or witch hazel, keep doing that twice a day. it will help prevent the bumps from turning into pimples.
Re: Gina and guppies help required
Tea tree oil is great. I usually use an aspirin mask right after waxing [dissolve some aspirin in water, add a bit of honey, apply on desired areas] and it works wonders. I stopped having pimples on my back after waxing by doing this.
Re: Gina and guppies help required
oohhhh try and not wax on sensitive areas and parts of skin... try powdering the wax areas with baby powder and make sure you hold the skin taut before u pull.... rub oil and make sure the wax isnt too hot.......

This also prevents ingrown hair.. but isn't good for long-term :( it helps due to the salicylic acid in asprin..
A 'calming' mask one with fullers earth and rosewater would help too.. I apply a thin layer of a topical antibiotic cream.
Re: Gina and guppies help required
Hey gina, why isn't it good for long term? I've been using it and I don't want any problems to arise later on!
Re: Gina and guppies help required
Mehroze I had the same problem and eventually I had to give up on the waxing. My skin is super sensitive and nothing was working. But ice did help somewhat
Salicylic acid can cause superficial burns.. it's alright to use it once or twice but certainly NOT everytime you wax.
Re: Gina and guppies help required
I had that. so i did laser instead.....
however what you could do is ice over the area for few minutes......or apply aloe vera gel..i used to and it worked a treat.
thanks ladies i will do all that inshallah sumthing will work :)
Re: Gina and guppies help required
do you mud mask or multani mitti fuller earth paste mixed with rose water and see the wonders yourself
