This is probably a third time in a row that Gilani has shown his powers to Zardari. Could a real war be brewing up in Islamabad, or is it just a political stunt to keep the public attention away from the major issues?

Re: Gilani Dismisses Three Ambassors-at-Large Appointed by Zardari

At most, zardari have two options:

1) Gillani has to take vote of confidence from Parliment
2) Dissolve the assembly

If Zardari goes for the point number 1, then PML (N) the 2nd majority holders in assembly will vote for gillani, others like Molana Fazl, ANP and MQM would try to negotiate their position with zardari, and it may cost him (zardari) an arm and a leg to get these thugs on his side, and still no body is sure that how long the newly appointed PM will sustain. as PPP is not a majority holder, hence chaos

if Zardari dissolves the assembly, then this itself is shooting in his own foot, with the current political situation, PML (N), JI and IK may win the majority in the assembly and PPP may have to sit in the opposition. then the assembly can make zardari another Rafiq Tarar...

Stars are against zardari, the best option for him is to re-instate CJ iftaykhaar and take necessary measure to curb poverty, MQM and taliban kind of elements.

This is to be noted that, Zardari will never do the right thing, infact we might work to fuel the situation some other way

PM Gilani had very tall claims when he had resumed his office, and in his first address to National Assembly there were Tens of promises he had made with National Assembly and with the Nation.

He had given 100 days program for some very critical issues, but some initiative were very prominant like making Parlimantary discussion on National Security and the subsequent forming of committee.

But the results of his own promises is obvious today.
Whoever is an Embassidor or State secertary it is not important for common in Pakistan nor for The country itself , but what changes a regim brings is important.

If we will compare the present and previous Musharif regims , i think there is only difference of Names of persons on the slots of PM , President and Ministers.

Musharif was fully taking dictation from USA and the some practice is carrying out our present regim.

as for as the differences between Gilani and Zardari are concerned , I think if Gilani will fullfill his Promise with the Nation of Restoration of Iftikhar Chaudhry , as Zardari has reservations on him, then only we can say that Gilani has differences with Zardari.

Re: Gilani Dismisses Three Ambassors-at-Large Appointed by Zardari

and zardari and gillani are holding their own against US A arent they!!!? They are really standing up to the yanks!!!

Re: Gilani Dismisses Three Ambassors-at-Large Appointed by Zardari

renowned lawyer Sharifuddin Pirzada, isnt he the idiot who used to give bad advice to Musharraf?

I’d say he gave good advice, I mean good for us (as it resulted in his ouster) :chai:

How old is this Pirzada guy? Shouldn't he be dead by now anyways? I guess wicked people live forever. :(

BTW, good to see PM finally showing some guts & standing up for what is right.

Re: Gilani Dismisses Three Ambassors-at-Large Appointed by Zardari

Pirzada and others were appointed by Zardari last week, and they got sacked by Gilani just now. Zardari knows that he lacks the real political power, so he is trying to woo all the old and and new power brokers in Pakistan. Zardari has very few real supporters, and with the likes of Naheed Khan being cast away, the party has an increasingly divided stature. Unfortunately he's still in power as he is quite smart at keeping the political big guns on his side through corrupting them by using government funds, buying them through offering high posts; and employing an amalgam of strategies including extortion and harassment.

He was not appointed by Presedent Zardari. He is working on this post from the time of Nawaz Sharif. But it is not sufficient. The time needs more acts.

Incorrect, he was appointed Honorary Roving Ambassador in 1995.
