But again who made Taj Mahal and wherefrom they got its material. There are many beautiful Mandirs, which shows that locals knew architecture and if Mughals not invaded India, there might be something equal to Taj Mahal by locals

The region (most of it remained part of the same empires) from around 1500 to 1947, although before that for long periods of time the area used to be divided into various small kingdoms with small periods of unity. You can take that as a plus from the invasions.
