i need input! i need idea’s! my significant others birthday is coming up (he’ll be 28) and the guy likes accessories, so i thought id get him a necklace that i can personalize
any other ideas?? I dont wanna do clothes or colognes, and i think my parents are getting him a watch. so what else does that leave? i was initially getting him a PS3 but bc of his traveling situation at the moment, that wont be worth it.
Don't you think necklaces and bracelets are a tad too douchey for a 28 year old man? A watch seems like a very good idea, cheers to your parents. You could get him a nice media player, a good set of headphones, a PSP for his commute unless he is driving, sunglasses, shoes, whatever strikes your fancy.
i do like his sense of style with accessorizing, so its not douchey...he is a watch collector, and gave me a watch for my bday that was very recent and so i think giving a watch for his bday, atleast from me, would feel kinda awkward to me.
PSP does strike my fancy since i was initially thinking of a ps3...he will be going to pakistan so he could make use of a psp i guess..i dont know if hes so into games to play them on a handheld...will a handlheld look ok for a 28 yr old? I just googled PSP, whats better, the PSP or PSPgo?
LOL no I didn't mean to call him douchey, I was on about necklaces and bracelets in general. PSP-Go is the new PSP. He can use it for games as well as music and videos, movies etc. Gadgets don't look bad on guys, age doesn't matter, and guys growing out of gadgets is a myth.
i beleive you, but im hoping this is coming from a guy… lol well my main question is, i saw it says skype is compatible with this, does that also include skype video calling? bc if thats the case PSPgo is IT! that’ll give him NO excuse not to skype me from pakistan
Thats affirmative, based on a very recent DIY check. Rest assured.
Not too sure about video calls on PSP, never used mine for video calling. You might want to check Skype forums beforehand then. Although I don't know what he has told you but I believe Pakistani Customs do allow laptops to get through, so there should not an excuse for not skype calling you in the first place.
Okay, well yeah I know he will have his laptop, thats not a problem. Overall, ive been reading about the PSPgo and the reviews dont seem too positive...im a girl so im gonna like the PSPgo bc it looks real nice. PSP 3000 seems to be the hotter pick bc of its convenience of use (bc PSPgo only allows downloads and no UMD's) What do you think?
I have a PSP3000 myself, and I would prefer it any day over PSP-Go. It is a matter of preference really, both gadgets are brilliantly designed. PSP3000 has a bigger display area 4.4" I believe, compared to Go's 3.8". I heard Go's OS is more responsive and faster, and it has a bigger storage space. You could go have a look at them both side by side in an electronics store, might help you decide which one you like better. You are right about UMDs. Although Go offers a much bigger storage capacity for all your downloads, and downloading is not difficult process. Again, personally I like using a disc better. Old school FTW.

Gaming consoles/handhelds are always good if someone's into games. If he's a gamer, he won't care if it looks good for him or not. I'd be very happy if my wife were to give me a PS3 (or any gaming console or game).
