What do you you guys usually give to your ammi’s on their birthdays. Yesterday was my ammi 's birthday and since last month I made sure I will get her something but just coz there was a bomb blast and close to my place again, I totally forgot about it when I called her :–( Anyhow, list some good things that you guys usually get for your mata jees…gracias.
It's always perfumes.. cant think of anything else to buy, so i just get perfumes, or dine out..
hmm, perfumes. I can get her one but she got all the latest ones coz her sisters send her such stuff...
how about buying her lessons for a driving class and if she already drives, how about cooking classes?. If she is already an excellent Pakistani dishes cook, then maybe something on the lines of Oriental cooking would benefit her. Something to get her out of the daily routine. How about an Arts class?.

Funguy, thats cool but she isn't a house wife, eh. As for driving the first time she drove, it was a disaster and she never drove again, lol. I mean she should have but oh well...She is a wonderful cook, you are right :p But yeah, baking classes would be good then she can make something for me :D 'cuz I am a better cook but am worst when it comes to baking and thats my weak point...

Issi liyay tau suggest kya kay force her into taking something out of the regular routine stuff. If you buy it for her and make the commitment upfront, she won't have any excuses.
Fortunately or unfortunately in some cases, my mind ain't the only thing that's fertile.

umm, well if theres a really nice family phtograph,or get a nice foto of her wen she was younger, get it enlarged n nicely framed… something she could remember. If she loves spending time in the kitchen, give her a nice set of knives, or some food processing system/other funky gadgets… take her out for a nice dinner… depends what she likes, if shes into gardening, get her some awesome plant… a nice shawl, get her a beauty makeover n manicure , i dunno, watever applies to her…

shoes is out of question.. main nay jootian khanai hain. There are so many shoes we have and yeah Mahnoor we both have the same size.(ever heard the word ‘laha’ ) There are still many shoes that I haven’t worn and she told me NOT to look at shoes if I need to shop around for anyone.

Depends on what she likes. What she's into. My mom USED to like gold or diamond jewellery alot. I mostly gave her gold rings with a small diamond or her favourite lucky stone (Ruby), simple gold jewellery (neckless, earings, bracelets, etc.). You can also present a perfume, watch, get a nicely tailored outfit, shoes or anything she likes to have.
