Gift of Demon-Thuggery

Re: Gift of Demon-Thuggery

^ He seems to have ‘sold’ the sugar mills as well lol The Govt has been trying to privatize this mill, which has not been functioning for about 9 years now (who do we blame for not resuming work on this mill, and not paying the millions it owes to its employees)? The mill hasn’t been privitized because no one wants to buy it. Just today the opposition, which is now the PML[Q] was raising fury over the 25% proposed privatization of this mill.

Islamabad—Opposition Senators Thursday demanded approval of the IMF package from the Upper House, fearing that the package would make country’s economy hostage to the Fund.

As the House witnessed uproar amidst cross allegations, the opposition members were firm on their demand to discuss the issue in the House and get approval before finalization.

Kamil Ali Agha, PML (Q) said the Advisor did not tell about finalization of the agreement during his winding up speech in the House and members came to know it from media reports. He demanded to convene special session of the House to discuss the program.

**He also objected the privatization of Dadu Sugar Mills and demanded to immediately issue directive to Sindh government to stop the privatization process.**

“We would not allow selling out of national assets in this way,” Agha said and also demanded to investigate the privatization process of Qadirpur Gas Fields.

The Leader of the Opposition also demanded that the House be informed as to who was going to purchase the shares of National bank of Pakistan and said, the government always boasted of democracy but did not take the Parliament into confidence on these issues.
