You can give her an educational game. Or jewelry! I love to give jewelry to the girls.

She's 1-years-old, you're more likely giving a gift to impress her parents than her. Might as well give something sentimental or one of those uber-flashy attention-getting toys that keep kids fascinated. No toy is going to entertain a one-year-old.

what about molding sand? i got one for me coz it was just so cute.. but i think 1 year old could totally play with it too.

Really 1 year playing with modeling sand; I think she wud like to eat it more than play with it.
