My husband’s colleagues gave us some really nice gifts for our baby expected soon Inshallah.
I want to thank them and got some thankyou notes, but I was thinking of maybe adding some little gift with it as a token of appreciation. But I cant seem to figure out what should be appropriate.
Chocolates??
one of the ladies at my previous job did a nice thank you note with a big gourmet cookie. I thaught that was a nice touch. You could also send cupcakes so that they all can enjoy :)
I like the idea of fruit basket or cupcakes.
Now the thing is that it wasn't a baby shower event.Just a few people gave him gifts individually/separately.
So I was thinking that if I send in some thing for everyone will it look kinda bad to those who never got a gift or might make them feel obligated (not that we were expecting it from everyone).
So should I get individual thank you gifts or just wait till after we have the baby Inshallah and then send in some cakes etc for everyone to enjoy??
I don't want anyone to feel weird about it and at the same time I want people who went an extra mile to get us thoughtful gifts to know that they are much appreciated.
what to do??
If it was some individuals, then make some cupcakes, pack 2 or 4 for each person in a little box (avalible at walmart etc) and send out with thank you notes.
^Just be careful with that with colleagues. It can seem too personal. Women can give that kind of stuff to each other, but if the hubby is handing it out it can seem a bit weird. It depends on each situation.
I am loving the idea of cupcakes or chocolates alongwith thank you cards.(and also thinking of stuffing my poor self with a few cupcakes too )
Thanks
2 of them are old women (60 plus) and I am not sure bath & body works stuff will look appropriate.
One of them made us a hand-knitted blanket. Its so beautiful!!
