Yeah, now he is haafiz-e-Quran. I don't know the age, actually we move to a new state, here I made few friends and take tel #'s. So one friend called me to invite, I will call her tomorrow and ask her his age.

So age would help.Then you would get a better idea.Something that reminds him of his accomplishment would be a good gift.:)

Some things that are always wonderful and the person giving it keeps getting ajar are:

  • A set of books like Bukhari/Muslim etc (these are a bit expensive though)
  • A quran (in form of a book) with translation and tafseer
  • Books dealing with Seerah
  • CDs of Quran with translation *]MP3 player of Quran

I'm sure the boy will like something more like "normal kids" gifts....playstation or sport items....he wouldn't ALWAYS be reading religious books!

Normal gifts are fine and if you like give him a quranic Cds or mp3 quran.

My cousins son, completed his this year, he was 14. We gave him a Gift card as he is at the age where it's difficult to buy for!

anything normal for his age would be fine.. hafiz-e-quran will be having the quran in his heart..all learnt.. i wouldnt suggest quran CD or quran itself

Since you don't know the boy and his shoocks I would suggest gift card it is better than cash (I always enjoy gift cards more :))

I think the Quran CD set with translations in English is a good idea. Yes he has memorized the quran by heart but:
1) it'll help him review...w proper pronunciation
2) Learn the meaning of everything, im sure there is always more to learn.

Along with that give him a normal gift for kids that age.....

^ that might be a bit pricey. i think the gift card idea is good... that way he can go out and get whatever he wants for himself.
you can even slide it into a nice little card to dress it up. and most malls do mall-wide gift cards so he can shop not from one particular store but the entire mall.

hmm well,my lil brother recently hifaz quran,he was around 13 years old...an that was the most happiest day of our life
Usually he got cash ...
and i think cash is more appropriate for the occassion

on second thought, cash does sound like a good idea..does he have any savings plan? can always be donated to that :)

even if he doesn't have any saving plan but the the thing he or his parents could save it...soon or later the money worth.....
