no pots 'n pans or cutlery, crystal etc.. something more ‘useful’..
they already have decent digital cameras.. otherwise..
budget about $125 but flexible for better/great ideas..

Re: Gift Ideas for families..
Family with kids? Six flag tickets.
Re: Gift Ideas for families..
well I was more thinking of something they would keep... than spend... hence no gift cards either..
Re: Gift Ideas for families..
well if it is something they would keep then u have to know teh family well, and what they like or dislike, what they need or dont need, what their style is etc. what stage are they in, new family, lil babies, school age kids, what are their interests and hobbies, what does the family like to do together etc etc
I have a box full of crap that ppl feel necessary to bring, and once its full it goes straight to charity.
I prefer giving and getting persihables, flowers, chocolates, fruit baskets.
Re: Gift Ideas for families..
I think it really depends on how well you know the family. I'm usually able to nail it with clothing gifts for my sister's family, but that's because I know everyone's preferences and can choose things that I'm sure they'll love. Like my little nephew's favorite color is blue, so I bought him a blue fall jacket, and he's in love. I'd say if you know everyone well, figure out their faves, and get them something accordingly. If it's one gift for the family.... since you know they have a digital camera, how about a really good photo printer/scanner?
Re: Gift Ideas for families..
well yes... clothing is out.. but then maybe i'll end up buying jackets or ishtuff cuz i couldn't find anything else..
Don't think printer/scanner etc will work.. i'd want to keep it smaller in size..
