I am a first time aunt (phoppo) to my niece who is turning one soon.. She is the first grandchild of my family and she is very special to all of us, especially me. I love her to bits.
I am just so confused as to what to buy for her..? One options sentimental like Jewelry but I find i can give that later on in life.. Toys - what type, and she will be getting heaps?
My budget is about $300 - $500 what can I get her, maybe multiple things?
Any help in past experience will be appreciated :)!
Keep in mind that kids will outgrow any clothes, toys etc very quickly. Do you want to spend so much money on such things? If I were you, I would buy jewellery.
For that much money a gold pendant or chain would be great. Also a classic children's book with an inscription from you along with the jewellery would be good.
I have 4 nieces m'A and I tend to favour jewelry because it's a keepsake. As they've gotten older, I've bought them clothes (and other trendy things) - but for important milestones, (1st, bismillah, Ameen, etc.) I buy jewelry.
I got both my girls a Tiffany necklace with their name and birth date engraved on it. You can also get really pretty charm bracelets from Tiffany but she's probably too young for that.
You can also do a scrapbook with her personal things.
Gold jewelry is good too but it's mostly given by the elders in my family like grandparents etc.
I love personalized gifts. Don't bother with toys and clothes. She'll get tons of those from other people.
