One of my married friends is expecting her first baby MA. I am going to meet her soon and this would be our first meeting after I head the news. Since this meeting is going to happen after a good while, I wanted to gift her something but am clueless what could be a good present for an expectant mama.
Since her pregnancy is at a very initial stage, I don’t want to give her any baby’s stuff. Nor do I wanna give her a gift card because that seems very impersonal and unthoughtful to me. So I was wondering if you guppans can share some gift ideas for a prego lady :). Something that doesn’t cost a bomb because I am unemployed as it is but is cute and utilizable.
P.S. She is a make-up aficionado and I was thinking of getting her some make-up stuff but would that be a good idea
Get something that she can pamper herself with, like a nicely naturally perfumed toiletry set with bubble bath, scented body lotion, perfume etc. Or scented candles.
Bear in mind though that if she is going through morning sickness phase, any scents can make her want to throw up.
-a box of chocolates or cookies
-body butter(for stretch marks) and massage oil
-a foot spa(it doesn't cost more than 20-30$)
-maternity dress
-gift cert for mani/pedi at her favorite spa
when I look back on those days I think the most appreciated gift would be a lovely home-cooked meal that I could just pop into the microwave. HOW I loved to eat but didnt have the energy to make really nice meals. If possible, send the meal in a really nice bowl or casserole dish for her to keep and it becomes 2 gifts.
When you havent been thru it, this may not seem to be the best thing. But it IS.
