We're giving presents on the mehndi day. I'm more concerned with the packaging then the present it self :) I'm giving suits to all the aunts, my mother in law im giving her dresses and a small jewelry set, my sister in law, im getting them ready-made suits from Pakistan. so yeah, clothes for everyone :) except my husband

Sending - nothing, we'll eat together

got - for engagement they gave me lots of cute stuff, like perfume set, bath set, unstiched suits, jewelry box, chocolates stuff like that. For nikkah/eid they got me a perfume, a gold set, some clothes. I loved the little stuff so much better then gold/jewelry.

For the nikah, hub's family wasnt here so my parents didnt do their gifts. Hubs got clothes (i forget how many) and a ring ofcourse. My siblings brought him something small too like a wallet i think?

I got 2 joray, a handbag, choorian and shoes. And the ring.

And for mithai hubs brought a huge thing of laddoos. I cant remember if my parents gave him some, i think they did not sure though.

what if nikah is months before the wedding, what did you give to the groom and hi family? and is you have no engagement, is it necessary to give a ring? how about a watch?
