Para is a compounded residential area. There are many balouchi and sindhi paras in many areas of Karachi.

Machar colony is a slum near Wazir Mansion Railway station and with loads of mosquitoes. So someone rightly named is Machar Colony!

Maywa Shah , Gora qabristan , Shaki Haasan , Lala khet walay ka naam yaad Nahe arah hay .

Lyari is a historical name and there is another Lyari which is in Lasbella District of Balouchistan

AQ, if I hadn't known about Ayesha Manzil, I would never have bothered asking Mostar about it. But I have never been there, ya ho sakta hai kabhi dhyan na diya how. So, we would travel from the garden area to our phuppo's place near Abdullah Floor Mill. Thats about it and that was my limited knowledge of the area (the A.O clinic and shadi halls... mujhay yaad hai sab zara zara)
As a woman/girl, your activities and mobility is limited as it is. Ghar say university and vice versa, those were good old days and I am talking about mid to late ninetees.

Lyari has its beauty! In 1970s we used to go the area beyond North Karachi (now called Surjani) with our taya jan. He was a brid hunter. The water in its dry beds was crystal clear then.
