There is a giant mushroom in Oregon that is over 2,400 years old, covers 3.4 square miles of land, and is still growing!

I thought the same thing ... It looks from the picture that it has a footprint of 10 to 12 square metres ...

And it has a shadow of a person coming out of it's stem, instead of it's own shadow ... Mushrooms don't grow that big and never live that long ...

According to the article its effects (don't know how to explain it) are spread into that big of an area.
