Have you guys seen this drama - its on ARY. Today (sunday) was its second episode.
Its got Ali Haider in it - Kuki, a couple of female models, Moin Akhtar, and lots of other big-names.
The acting is fabulous. The direction is by Sajid Hassan, the actor. :o
Rola came up with the theme song, which is guess what? Not some melodic lovey dovey song. Its a hard rock song by Rola, the band.
I am in love with this drama. Today, they showed Kuki smoking crack. And he’s got this friend, (its a new girl, and she’s a good actress), who was shown doing it too!
Its totally about the new rich kids in Pakistan and how corrupt they are.
Sajid Hassan comes up with these totally quirky offbeat serials which really aren't those realistic sorts Pak dramas are known for. Haven't watched Ghuum ( which is like Ghoom I guess) but he did come up with this sitcom for ARY called "Punterz" couple of yrs back, which was a totally 'out' kinda drama. Didn't last very long either. That said, keep us updated on the goings on in this one.
i saw it for the first time while enjoying my chutti today .. drama is owesom, loving musicals of the drama .. they showed kuki sniffin HESHISH today and her gf * i guess * ..
on one hand its representing RICH AYASH ppl and their AWARA kids n on the other hand its puting poor but loving couple in vision.
Not all pakistani bachas are like this... only top class , inspired by western culture. they are between devil and the deep sea. they dont know what to do and what to leave. confused and all messed up. but there are also hard working and intelligent kids in pakistan
not me.... for me , they are just human being... but they are known here as Top class
i am not talking about all rich people... In many cases, they are better than other people. We can find coruuption anywhere. Top class or lower class or middle.
couldn't get into it at all....everyone looks so fake or maybe it is the "colors" that are used. Plus they took away the music show - Musst Wanted - idiots! If you are going to show another drama in a music show time slot atleast switch the freakin' music program to another time! ARGH!!
This is a great drama - Kooki's acting is pretty awesome, I must say, even though he makes for a real annoying host. Somehow everyone in the noor jehan khandaan has performance in their blood, even if they're drunk and half asleep when hosting a music show.
Moin Akhtar's performance is soooooooo refreshingly different for him. I don't know who that girl is that Kooki is trying to have an affair with - but her acting is also really great. The drama deals with some bold themes - more bold than the boldest of dramas I've seen so far. But the good thing is that the direction/performances/technical aspect have some finesse, unlike many dramas out there right now.
