I would like to pray 5 times a day and right now because of this issue I sometimes have to deny my husband because I want to be able to pray as many prayers as possible. He obviously understands but its not our ideal solution.

One thing that I can suggest is that you are allowed to wait till morning to do ghusl. Before fajr time gets over (I am not sure where you are but in USA where i live, its around 7:15 in the morning nowadays), get up 30 mins before that and do ghusl and then namaz and then blow dry your hair.
