Ghusl 40 days after childbirth

if any one can remind me when the 40 day period after giving birth finishes, do you do ghusl on the 40th day or on the 41st day?
and how do you work out the exact 40 days?
i should remember this from last time but i don’t :smack:
*she was born at 2.30 in the afternoon on the 19th May. *
i cant figure out the exact 40 days it’s somewhere between 27th june and 29th June.

*As far as i know these 40 days, physical interaction between husband wife is not allowed, once the time period is up then you do ghusl and can interact with husband *

hmmm I don't think it has to be so strictly calculated ! once you stop getting your periods ..it could be 39th day , 40th day or 41st day you can do ghusul.

Re: Ghusl 40 days after childbirth

Peace

From memory ...

40 days is the limit ... if bleeding continues to go beyond this without change then 'normality' resumes i.e. do ghusl and can perform prayers. However if before the 40 days it has stopped such as after 20 days, then wait a day or so and resume normality i.e. ghusl and prayers.

The wisdom in 40 days I guess is that it includes the after birth bleeding plus one cycle, but humans are diverse and the average does not apply at all times.

If bleeding stops for a few days within the 40 and starts again then it is correct to do ghusl pray and stop prayer if bleeding starts again because that would be the next period.

Sticking to 40 days no matter what is wrong this is the limit for condition only when bleeding continues throughout the 40 days and goes beyond, in this case ghusl is performed even when bleeding. This would be done on the 41st day.
