Re: Ghulam Mustafa Khar expelled from PPP
No body can ever accuse PPP of being a shining example of democratic traditions anyway. We all know that. GM Khar is a fairly useless character anyway, plus he is old and should be worrying about his journey to the next world. I doubt anyone will lose sleep over Khar being kicked out of PPP.
Then there is the larger issue of split in PPP. Since mid 70's it has been tried several times and has never really worked. PPP is synonymous with Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto and Benazir Bhutto. If you are neither of two, you don't stand a chance of carving out a credible PPP (google 'Murtaza Bhutto' and 'Ghanva Bhutto' and see where it got them). All other PPP leaders (what a misnomer) realize that their success is owed to the name of Benazir Bhutto. When breaking ranks, their best bet is to join another party, rather than trying to launch a break-away faction of PPP.
ps. Jehangir Badr.... what an amazing example of a typical Punjabi dagga.
