Ghost of Barbados

Whats up with the Indian Players, whenever they play at Barbados ? Last time we played there, we needed 100 odd runs to win the Test, we were all out for 81. Today, Yet again..almost similar story in the first innings.

Not only Barbados almost on any fast and bouncy pitch its hard for paper-strong indian batting line up to face world class bowling.

But v true Barbados is now a ghost for Indians they have to come out of Barbados pressure to matchup the game.

I was shocked to see that score on cricinfo.
102 all out!!

Man this must be a place for the Indians to think about before playing.

I think it was just a bad day for the team but now the chances for winning this match are really low if westindies can get 250 plus.

No wonder they find excuses not to play against Pakistan.

Asif,
Let us hope we will be able to get some quick wickets and restrict the WI with in a decent score. Barbados is the waterloo for the Indians.

I am sure Sachin is going to get a decent score in the Second Innings and ensure long awaited overseas win.

What do you Say?

LOL → Sachin 0 again… The rest of the batting relied on Ganguly bigtime…

Great performance… Come on India! Barbados or no Barbados India is the best!

It is sad to see that you people rely on poor person, who has the world pressure on him, why not rely on that one hit wonder Laxman of yours, who scored a 280 runs, and since then hasn’t scored a huge total, if I were you guys, I would be praying for Dravid instead of Tendulkur, since he does well outside India then the little master.

Btw, how many little masters are there rightnow, first Hanif Mohammad, the Gavaskar, and now Tendulkur.
Who is next, Dasgupta.

Umair, you are forgetting that in last test match India won , Laxman was the Man of The match.

There is only one Little Master - That is Sunil Gavaskar. Btw, It was a nice way to Insult those greats.

AK

I'm only saing that there is only one little master and that is Hanif Mohammad, the original.
When did I insult these players, you guys are the one by using a title one 2 of your players after Hanif Mohammad.

Whats next, after Harbajhan, Harvinder Singh will be called the Turbunator.

We didn’t name them as Little Master. Please go and fight with those English/Australian commentrators who called Sachin and Gavaskar as Little Master. You insulted all these men by including Deep Dasgupta in the same league.

Harvinder Singh doesn’t wear a Turban.

Hanif Mohammad -> the real little master!!!

Watch his innings of 337 against the Windies in Windies at a time when the Windies were just unstopable... Inzis triple century dont come close to those great innings...

The key word in "Little Master" is "little". Any great player (especially batsman) with a short height is called "Little Master".

This is nothing to fight about. There can be more than one, I am sure, and Hanif won't mind. Ask him. :)

This shows how much ur mind thinks negatively. Seems like ur mind has just the negative sign but nothing else.

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm!!!!! maybe I am mistaken but I thought this thread was to discuss Indian team's performance at Barbados, but then what do I know.

*Stick to the topic *

In reply to India's 102 all out WIndies on the close of play on the second day were 314/4. A lead of 212 runs.

The question is can India save the match or are they heading for an innings defeat if Windies muster another 100 to 150 runs in the first innings?

This match is definantly going to the Westindies, there is no way in the world India can comeback from their misery.
Unless they have a world class bowler like Shoaib Akhtar to bowl out their whole team in just 78 runs, they can win.
Which they don’t.

Guys just a question..

How come Pakistan has to be brought up in every topic including India?
Do we have to read the same posts in every topic?

(Back to the topic)
From what I have been seeing of the match.. Lara’s innings were quite different from his usual. He left a lot of the balls from the offside go by.

India need to make a break through, and get the partnership broken, from the first overs of the morning.

Just wondering, was it right to leave out Anil Kumble? (Hence, India won the 2nd test without him). Yet, Harbajan hasn’t been successful overseas just like Kumble.
Maybe experience matters more at this point in time?

I expect Wasim Jaffer to exhile in this series (if he’s given a chance). This young guy has talent. Dravid and Tendulkar = a powerful combination.. both need each other to do good.

Funny thing is, from India’s first innings, India got out for 102, but when India loses they always blame Ganguly of out of form and etc. But this time he lasted to the end, unlike the rest of the team. Had he got 5, they would have had 59. Hmmmmmmm…

Hooper and Chanderpaul are playing quite well, hooper just got his century and chanderpaul is getting close... Its amazing how hoopers average has increased considerably ever since he became captain... Captiancy usually means pressure, because of which your batting can really suffer (ask tendulkar)...
