Sorry to bust in on your thread Sadzie...But I misread the thread as "Gay straighteners", thinking they might have come out with a cure for homosexuality...
Sorry...

Re: Ghd straighteners
I find Conair not hot enough. I find Conair not a good brand period.....for anything.
The difference between professional appliances and the ones available at regular shops like drug stores and department stores is the heat that they provide. You will find that regular products and appliances will never give you the finish and staying power that you get from getting your hair done at a salon. And I'm not referring to Magic Cuts or SuperCuts etc.
The other difference of using professional appliances is that your hair is done that much faster.
If you find that the Conair one is scorching your hair, then maybe you are straightening smaller sections and less amounts of hair than I do.....or perhaps your hair is of a much different density or coarseness than mine is. I can't tell from just what we post in this thread.
At the end of the day, if the results that you get with the Conair are satisfactory to you, then great! You're a lucky one that can get away with it.
Re: Ghd straighteners
hmm I thought Hairhouse Warehouse stocked GHD.
anyways… thats wat i could find, hope its wat ur looking for.

We used to send people to hairhouse warehouse if they wanted GHD.
Re: Ghd straighteners
na hairhouse warehouse dont stock it anymore.. and neither do Petra hair care... apparently GHD is only news... but i went to about 4 hair salons in Chaddy and all of them had the GHD displayed in their salon.. only one however had the big plate one... i got it! and free hair serum too...
GHD works soooooo beautifully... my hair is down my back.. and i can do it all in just 20 min!
Re: Ghd straighteners
I got the Babyliss with the wider plates that look like glass. It's absolutely amazing!!!
Can't believe I was using anything else before.

Hey one question though.... those of you going/went to pak, what did you do there? got one of 220 voltage???
Hey u know what..before going to paki.i bought a CHI...and due to the voltage thing i bought a "voltage converter" but when i used it in paki..it burned! My new CHI burned..and i nver really got to use it..now i have to send it to the company so they can fix it for me..but usually u do get 1 yr warranty!
