Ghd straighteners

Re: Ghd straighteners

So where in lahore can I find one
???

Re: Ghd straighteners

Go to HKB..
get remington ceramic plate straightener (not the steam one ) u'll get it or aroung 2200 Rs.
it is the best..:)

Re: Ghd straighteners

GHD are good but long term hair straightning doesnt do any good... be it - you use a good one or cheap one..

use serum after uv straightened it.

Re: Ghd straighteners

straight hair? :very2000:

Re: Ghd straighteners

yea kuchi puchi, I use it to straighten my eyebrows. :smooth:

kidding… well I used to work at a place where they sold em strighteners, hair dryers, curlers, mens shavers, mirrors, massagers, electric toothbrushes, footspas etc… Although I must admit, my speciality was men’s shavers. But if there was no one around to look after someone buying a straightener, I’d pretend I knew all about em :stuck_out_tongue:

Re: Ghd straighteners

^ kaka, where can i get a cheap GHD from? the salon style one… not the thin plate one…?

i sooo need one :crying:

Re: Ghd straighteners

I used the Ceramix one for a while and then it was taken away by a man that needs it now.......so I was "authorized" to purchase another one.

I got the Babyliss with the wider plates that look like glass. It's absolutely amazing!!!

Can't believe I was using anything else before.

I bought the Conair one with wide plates for my nieces.....tried using it once and hated it. It's crap......definitely not hot enough.

And always use serum like Farouk's Silk Therapy before and or after you straighten.

Re: Ghd straighteners

^ yeah i went to enquire about the GHD at this hairhouse warehouse place and the girl tried to sell me the conair which has smaller plates.. and shes like u dont need the wider plate one or the GHD... but yeah she didnt convince me... my hair looked liked crap after she straightened a bit...

ive heard the babybliss is really good too... and yeap... u definately need to apply hair serum

Re: Ghd straighteners

I thought using a serum before

straightening the hair was recomended??

Re: Ghd straighteners

Blueberry
thankyou so much.
What other brand of straighteners does Hkb carry?
(can’t wait to visit the place :yahoo: )

Re: Ghd straighteners

Sajal,

I guess it comes down to preference. I use serum before and after straightening.
Before to prevent damage from heat and after to tame those stray ends that may not want to stay in place or to give the surface of the hair a nice sheen.

Re: Ghd straighteners

^ok thanks.

I also wanna check out the brand of straightener
you mentioned.

Re: Ghd straighteners

The Chi straightener is soooo good! The price is a killer though....but it's worth it if you love your hair.

Re: Ghd straighteners

i used to use this matrix hair thinggy that ur sposed to spray onto ur hair before you straighten it, it says it protects the hair n stuff.. well, i i used it a few times n it made my hair feel all sticky and icky :frowning: so i just use got2b hair serum after i finish straigtening ..

Muzna, conair isnt hot enough ?? How hot is the iron sposed to be? WHen ever i use it, its pretty hot that i can hear my hair sizzle and i dont go above setting 5 (25 is the max)

Re: Ghd straighteners

As soon as you come out of the shower, just spray lots trevor sorbie straightening addict blow drying spray to your very wet hair, then blow dry it while head is upside down to get the maximum lift, then straighten ends of hair not roots so it doesnt look flat, and ends up lookin really glossy and bouncy....works really well....I hate the iron flat look, it doesnt do wonders for your face. A more natural non-frizzy bouncy look is way better.

Re: Ghd straighteners

Arrghh!

Okay, question abt shopping here..

Im trying to buy a hair straightener.. i went to Al fatah with my dad and i saw a remington ceramic plated straightener there for 2700.. my dad asked the guy where its from, and the guy said the company is english but it was assembled in china,.. so my dad wants to go to shalmi or some lil gully wali dukaan and get some no name brand thing coz its cheaper.. he says sab kuch there is number two cheez and only xpensive coz of the brand name.. now i dunno, i don wanna take my chances on some lil thing that looks liek a toy and ive never even herd of.. so like i dunno... am i paying for quality at HKB, or shud i be chalaak and get some second rate thing for cheap?

Re: Ghd straighteners

shahlmi? dude...don't buy it! the best move in pakistan is to buy a name-brand. besides, if you do the calculation, that thingy is going to cost you the same as if you would buy it here...but without the tax.

Re: Ghd straighteners

YES ! I know.. but the thing is my dads gnna pay for it, so im either stuck with that, or i have to save up and pay for it on my own :bummer:

Re: Ghd straighteners

Sara.....get the Remington one in Pakistan. I used my sister-in-law's flat Remington flat iron since my CHI wasn't working, and it did a really good job.

Re: Ghd straighteners

My friend has the wider plate (GHD) one and she has really thick hair, i mean really thick! she has had both thin and wide and hates using the wide one! The wide one doesn't grab the root of the hair like the thin one. I have really thick hair and feel that the thin one gives a more slicker finish. The plates on the wider one don't meet at the edges like the thinner ones xxxx
