Hey guys, I always wanted to wear a gharara on my wedding day, and i got it made…very beautiful…
I then needed a mehndi outfit, and fell in love with a chatta patti gharara for my mehndi day and bought that…
now people are telling me its gonna be too much to wear a gharara on both days that will be the day right after the mehndi…there won’t be anything new again.
would this be okay? should i look for a salwar kameez to wear for the mehndi now, did anyone else wear a gharara on both days?? heeelllpp!!! thanks!
I think you could pull if their styles were different like a farshi gharara...that kinda has a train almost paired with a longer top looks different than a classic gharara style.
So it depends on how similar yours look, I would not go ahead with it if they were of the same style....
What day were you thinking of for the salwar kameez? Mehndi? that could work or you could get a salwar made for one of the ghararas?
I think you should wear both outifts and what you like, especially if you have bought them! Trust me, I'm in the same boat and people are putting in their cents about why I did this...or why I did that.. and as annoying as it is, if you love your outfits, then don't second guess yourself about it. I'm sure your colours must be different right? Make sure you go really simple on the mehndi, so flower jewllery and light coloured makeup so it will look different from your wedding day. I know a lot of brides are wearing heavy heavy jewllery these days on their mehndis as well but just to differentiate between the two, go simple one day and heavy on the next. If you really want to wear both those outfits then I'd say go for it! :)

i guess your right...my mehndi gharara is simple chatta patti yellow and pink gharara, and i want to be simple on my mehndi, however family is telling me i should dress up for the mehndi, however i want to be simple that day!
and of course th wedding gharara is red and bhari....i've heard that gharara is too much to wear both days...i don't want to get influenced by people telling me stuff, but its soo darn hard to not listen to them!!! ugghh

i have a cousin from Nawab family! she had a huge modern wedding!
she wore gharars on all four days! they were all different bt she followed her tradition properly! i have neva seen a bride like her! dun have words to explain her beauty!

what is a chatta patti gharara? but theres nothing wrong with wearing a gharara all three days, Im aure the look will be different i.e. jewellery colours etc, and ur a bride go for it!
well wht ma cousins wore for three days they were all totally different from eachotha! as i told earlier she was from a proper nawab family! she just followed her tradition wd d mixture of her own style reflecting in it!
i believe its totally upto a person! if u r feelin like it just have it! dun have second thoughts on dresses u r really like! i dun knw its rite or wrong but thats my Motto!

and as you mentioned, one is alot lighter and they are completely different colours and all!
go for it…it’s not everyday you get to dress up!
when you are preparing for your wedding, you will find that EVERYONE thinks that their opinion is the best! you just have to ignore others and do what YOU want...after all, this is your wedding!!
I think you should do what you want to do. If you like both outfits, wear both outfits....they are 2 separate outfits, your hair, makeup, and styling will be different for both days, so it will look different.
Dont let others influence you....if you want to do something, you do it!
