gharara- materials & lining

Ghararas look better in flowy materials. I think chiffon is definitely the material to go for. Organza would just puff up and won't be flattering esp around the gout.

for the gharara to fall like this (love)

tissue/silk organza for lining will provide body for the limp chiffon…chiffon itself falls flat…

Re: gharara- materials & lining

gharara should b of mughal jamawar(buy frm moon banarsi lahore cantt or rashid banarsi at the back side of liberty mart) with malai lining in winters nd atal lining in summers
but to give it rich look i think lahore main use indian georgette kehte hain us ki lining chale gi,,,,my mom do this business..dress making nd i used to help her b4 my wedding like 6 months ago.....

Re: gharara- materials & lining

my friend recently got her lehenga made of silk organza in cream colour with red piping and it looked amazing! however for gharara i think it wouldnt look as classy or neat..

Would you guys suggest going for a different matieral shirt with a chiffon gharara? I wanted to go with a rainbow coloured gharara for my mehndi but I was contemplating on making the shirt out of chifon as well. I am extremely skinny and I am afraid it will make me look wayy to thin. Would anyone suggest silk?? Here is a pic of the gharara I am wanting to get made..
