Re: Gharara keeps falling down :/
I wore a gharara and used à drawstring... It worked perfect for me! I didnt tie it so tight that i was sore... But definitely tight enough that i felt secure. Once it was secure i felt really comfy! It was really easy to wallk in and felt much lighter because the weight is more distributed compared to à sharara.
Suspenders would work too... Altho prob à lil uncomfy and would make me self conscious when ppl would hug :p
Re: Gharara keeps falling down :/
Oooh and i had a belt on the sharara for the valima... Drawstring def felt more secure comparatively!
Re: Gharara keeps falling down :/
a belt sounds better...not sure about the suspenders/braces...as the strap might show?
Re: Gharara keeps falling down :/
my wedding jora was a farshi gharara, and i used the good old fashioned naara/drawstring...it worked fine!
Get a naala, this is the best thing

I doubt using suspenders would really work, the same problem of getting a V shaped goth as OP said would still remain wont it?
I think using a drawstring in combination with an elastic would be perfect, so you dont have to tie it so hard that your skin becomes sore and still holds the weight of the gharara/sharara. Something like this…

but then I dont really know how heavy lehnga is lol ![]()
I’m not so sure about the hooked belts, I had one of those made for my shalwars and it was so uncomfortable even for a shalwar how can it hold up a weighty gharara :S
Gharara keeps falling down :/
I wore suspenders and they worked really well! Only problem is that all the weight is then on your shoulders. So if your shirt and dupatta are also heavy, that's a lot of weight! I had to take mine off half way because of that reason. But if your shirt is not too heavy then they work amazingly! And I used kids ones so they were slimmer and discreet.
