No that movie shows what people believe about Gandhi, after years of being canonized and sanctified.
Gandhi was a racist, read his works from his time in South Africa, had odd notions of sexual purity, and was a political tool in the hands of the British Raj. He may may have had good intentions, but I assure you intentions are a dime a dozen.
My hope is that the people of India forget this cult of personality! What India needed was a leader, someone like Washington, Jefferson, or Adams. Instead, we got Nehru and Gandhi…and here we are. I say let the dead lie, and let the living not look back.

I can;t say much, but yes there are things for which I like / respect Gandhi like I respect Mr Jinah. His agenda for simplicity and concern for giving Pakistan its share to name few.

All these leaders were human beings and they have their shortcomings. But one need to hilight and appreciate positive sides of such personalities instead of picking shortcomings all the time.
