Lets summarize your "opinions" :
There are no sects in Islam. Only Ahle Sunnah Wal Jamaat. However, Ahle Hadees are a different sect. Ahle Quran are a totally different religion. Brailvi and Deobandi are same same Hanafi muslims (lets ignore the fact they hate each other and call each other Kafir). Khariji are a different sect and not part of Ahle Sunnah (Does that make them non-muslim?) Sufis can be part of Ahle Sunnah or maybe not. Jamaatis follow Maududi that you consider as Fitna and was/is called Kafir by many Mullahs. I am not sure whether you consider them to be muslims or not. Others like Shias, Islamilis, AghaKhanis, you would not even talk about in a discussion about Islam and its different sects.

Why don't you clearly say that you only consider only a few people to be muslims. That is why you can claim a universally accepeted interpretation of Islam because in your universe only a few people can be considered muslims.

How is it rude and unexpected. I was merely correcting you that even if you consider them muslims, they dotn consider themselves muslims. The point was not to offend you but to correct you. I felt that I made my post in a non threatening and friendly manner. I am sorry if you felt I was being rude, that was not the intent.

your information is out of date. at one point in time bahai considered themselves a sect of islam, they were similar to ahmedis in that regard but over the years they changed teh stance and now consider themselves a new faith, they consider thesmselves as much muslims as muslism consider themselves christians or jews.

I cant read those articles but this is what i found..

Javed Ahmed Ghamidi resigned in September 2006[21]](Javed Ahmad Ghamidi - Wikipedia) from the Council of Islamic Ideology (CII),[7]](Javed Ahmad Ghamidi - Wikipedia), a constitutional body responsible for providing legal advice on Islamic issues to the Pakistani government. His resignation was rejected by the President of Pakistan.

So this guy provides advice to the govt on Islamic issues? :-/

The gentleman and his affiliates are deviants to the extreme of rejecting the Nasoos of the Quran let alone the Hadith. Ghamdi has insulted the Ulemas of Deoband in his book burhan.

He rejects

  1. Any form of Had (Prescribed Punishment),
  2. Hadith to be direct
  3. Nazool Eesa Alahi Salam and his Life (like Qadiyanis)
  4. Had for an Apostate (Murtad)
  5. Claims the 7 recitations of quran to be wrong (he is a close ally and aide of Daniel Pipes and Robert Spencer)
  6. Music and Dancing of all sorts is permissible
  7. Jihad against oppression is the only jihad allowed
  8. The Shahadat of a man and woman are equal
  9. There is no concept of Purdah (Hijab / Veil) in Islam,

Apart from this he is flying high these days by coming on TV brought by GEO Television. Mr. Ghamidi has special interest in Asma Jahangir and Qadinyanis much of whose ideology is reflected in his articles.

One of his student Khalid Zaheer is Munkareen Hadith Like Islahi, Farahi, Ghulam Ahmed Pervez, Allama Mashriqui. Khalid Zaheer is a professor at LUMS, Lahore (one can expect him to be in places like this). the following link gives some overview of Khalid Zaheer’s thoughts

Ghamidi’s books are Bayan, Mizan and Burhan, the last one being a mockery of Islam, Prophets, Companions, Imams, Muhaditheen and Mufasereens. They are seldomly available in Pakistan but are available at Danish Sara which are regional centers for Ghamidi’s Operations.

The aim of this posting is to request all members not to fall into the traps of Ghamidi. At present he is being fully supported by the Qadiyani Lobby against the Hudood Ordinance. The next target given to GEO and Ghamidi is surely to fight against the 295-C Blasphemy Law, to accomodate Qadiyanis.

Ghamidi is not attacking on Islam. Because he is a muslim. He can make mistakes in his writings. and this is not such thing which is bad. Humans can make mistakes. Also it should be remember there can be difference of opinion between scholars.

Javed ahmad ghamidi is a great scholar. because he repect all other islamic scholars. you can not show me any of his writings where he insulted some islamic scholar. So, this is the best thing in him.
