I know that place and have been to this place for few times. I think they now changed the name to Rehman nagar

There are many words that are pronounced wrongly and are considered as right.
Even pronounce 'Ghalat' as 'Ghalt' and 'Ghalati' as 'Ghalti'.
Share some other words that are pronounced wrong.

the new fashion of changing the names of cities/streets/landmarks is insane…we are going thru the same process in India. there are a lot of opposition to it when it comes to Muslim names being changed to Hindu names…my nanihaal is called Allahabad and they want to change this to Prayag to which there is a lot of opposition since it has the word ‘ALLAH’ in it…funny thing is, a part of Allahabad is already known as Prayag and there is even a Railway Station by this name.
another fact, old names are still in use because new names are too hard/long to pronounce. my uncle used to live on Harvey Road in Bombay which was renamed PunDita Ramabai Marg which is hardly known, even the taxi drivers don’t know where the heck is this street…it still known by Harvey Road.
