I love Hai Guzarish song.. I think the rest of the songs should be great as well.

just got back after watching this movie…
aamir khan did an AWESOME job!! don’t think anyone else could’ve pulled it off…and the new girl was good too…
the movie was on 2 extremes…either too funny, or too damn serious and violent…so yes, guppies with young children, plz don’t take them to the theatre to watch this movie…when i say its too violent, it really is :-S
it’s not completely inspired by memento…the rest is new, at least it was to me…
definitly worth watching on the big screen! :k: :k:

Having known that it was inspired from Memento, I had little hope. The movie is alright. The action scenes were exaggerated. The direction was...hmm...above average...like some scenes were fast forward. I liked the new girl Asin. For some reason, I just think that South Indian girls are more attractive than girls from Mumbai and Dehli alike.
I can't bear the sight of Jiah Khan...she over acts. Aamir's acting was okay..not his best. Now, I await for Three Idiots release.

Nahata kabhi nahi tha? Schofield bana hota hai apni taraf say dunya jahan kay numbers apni body par likh kar....agar aap ko PIZZAHUT ka nr chahiye aur telephone directory par na mil raha ho to AMIR KHAN ka poster dekh laiN, kahi na kahi nr mil jaye ga.
Dunya jahan kay "hathoray", "nalkay ki tootian", "lohay ka samaan" is film mai use hoa hai, muje to dar tha kahi AMIR KHAN achanak IRON MAN na ban jaye end maiN.
Film ka naam hona chahiye tha
LOHAAR GHAJINI aka IRONMAN vs AMIR HULK
And ofcourse some stupid emotional scenes, jisko dekh kar DESI log end mai "awww" and "wow" kahengay.
So I would give it 0.5 / 10

Its sacrilege to plagiarize a film of Memento's calibre, and insert some song and dances into it. The bollywood actor has totally ripped Guy Pierce's look and apparently acts the same too. I hate their guts, how blatantly they rip off hollywood and think they get away with it. It really sucks and shows how creatively bankrupt bollywood is. Even Nepali cinema is mroe original I bet.
but hollywood rips films off all the time like horror films from south east asia. they even u se their visuals and direction styles to get something refreshing going on in hollywood.
and i think this movie was just 'inspired' by memento as ppl have mentioned it was not the same story exact. so i think you can chill with your extreme hating of bollywood and oh so loving of hollywood.

Watch the movie before passing judgement. The only inspiration from Memento is the bit about anterograde amnesia. How he deals with it... what he's after... why he's doing what he's doing... is all new stuff - remake of the south indian flick which they've deliberately wanted to present to audience that doesn't understand the language of the original movie.
I liked the movie... despite being an avid fan of Memento, I don't think it's a copy of it. I give it an 8 / 10.

To be fair to my earlier comments, I zipped through the film in 1.5 hours on an awful print. The basics from memento -- revenge, rage, killed girlfriend, the mental disorder -- everything remains. To dumb it down, they've removed the nonlinear format of the original. And yeah, its beefed up with some wannabe-macabre action sequences lifted from Danny the Dog.
And they've inserted an endless flashback about the guy's cringe-inducing, ultra corny "love istory" and a very idiotic subplot about why the guy killed the girlfriend. And loads of songs and dances.
See a med student do an "item number" -- a first for world cinema!

it was alright...not too bad....some of the fight scenes were totally uneccessary....it was bit too much for my taste. Ammir khan looked awesome.....in some scenes i wonder if it was really him or body double. If it is really him, then wow he looks amazing for his age.
I liked movie Ghulam so much better then this one though. It had better story and better acting.

it was a typical indian movie story.....i liked the way it was made switching back n forth from present to future but i didnt like the extra unrealistic action scenes and i too thought he looked simillar to hulk :S

Ghulam is a ripped off of On the Waterfront. In some cases, frame by frame. Most well-known of Aamir Khan's films have been ripped off of Hollywood flicks.

- Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar is a ripped off of Breaking Away
- Akele Hum Akele Tum is a remake of Kramer vs Kramer
