Yes ... I was thinking the same thing. In the same way this 'ghair muslim' has identified traits that are similar he has consistently failed to do two things:
1) Pick the examples of learned Muslims, rather concentrated on habits of ignorant Muslims
2) Confused action with intent
The reply to his poem is to write a counter reply using the Brahmins as an example to compare with the monotheistic stance as opposed to the mushrik stance. And then to go a level further and propound on the fairness in Islam as opposed to the unfairness by the Brahmins.
To talk about what scripture says rather than what we see people do
And to finally confirm that we are not arrogant enough to say that we will go to Jannah but rather to say that anyone who does will do so by the Mercy of Allah (SWT).
