The sermon given at Ghadeer was more then being about caliph
Especially this part
… Befriend anyone who befriends him and make enmity towards anyone who makes enmity towards him…
Read more about the sermon maybe that will help
I apologized if my post give you the impression for calling you a hypocrite
What I meant by Ramadhan / Muharram Muslim was about those who are Religious in these months only but have no issue with drinking, women, showing more skin then clothes etc etc those considered unislamic and that was the reply to this
… why we see so much iman only in these 10 days. why not whole year… *
Maybe you can judge the religiosity but i don’t know how to judge the level of iman , to each his own
I don’t know where it’s said people left as those hajjis accompanying the prophet didn’t
I don’t know the exact figure of people present
More then 100 000 were the hajji’s who were with the Prophet after the hajj
The number of people present may vary as I don’t think there will be a accurate number as to how many join in from the surrounding areas after the announcement
If you want to have more understanding form a different point of view then can have a look
But if have already made up your mind, then can ignore
I asked a logical question, why do you celebrate it?
I think when you read your books you should post things with reference. Now just post a scan of copy from where you have read the event of ghadeer e khum. Or just google.
Jamati london kay liye yeh kisi BBQ party say kam nahi… Mansoora Brigade nay iss baar bhi Imam Hussain(as) ki shahdadt ko kisi bbq party ki tarah celeberate kiya… lanat ho aesay munfiq logon say…
But it still needed to give complete guidance to avoid the internal bloodshed between the first companions of the Prophet particularly when it goes into the very minute detail of petty things such as women’s issues. I believe Allah wrote that very best of companions who had been given the surety of Jannah would be killed by their own brothers.
Maybe it was inevitable. Let alone succession issue, in most of others cases Muslims have clear guidance but they still tend to ignore or disobey. It is sort of human nature, mentioned in holy Quran at many places.
For succession, I think, at that time no one was curious as to who will lead ummah after Prophet(s.a.w). Everyone was overwhelmed with sorrow and grief on departure of holy prophet, no one bothered to think about power. I believe Prophet (s.a.w) did not talk about succession, khilafa or leadership out of hikmah, to reinforce the end of prophethood message in its purity. still shia people associate a lot of super natural things to Ali (r.a.) But the moment Abu Bakar (r.a.) got the leadership, the passionate group started disputing it that leadership is right of Ali(r.a.)
